About this sheet
Six clock faces, each with a box underneath: children read the hands and write the time. The clocks show o'clock and half past times only, which is where most children start learning to tell the time, around ages 6โ8. Remind them that the short hand tells the hour and the long hand tells the minutes, and that when the long hand points straight down it's half past. A real clock or watch nearby helps a lot. For an extra step, draw a clock showing bedtime or lunchtime on the back. Print on plain A4 and use a pencil so answers can be fixed. On screen, our Clock Reader game has Tock the alarm clock, who rings his bells when children read or set the time right.
