How to play

1

Look at Hoppy's number, then tap the lily pad with the next number.

2

The green sign at the top shows what to count in: +2, +5, +10 or +3.

3

Not sure? Count the dots under the pads. Each column of dots is one hop.

4

A wrong pad is wobbly: Hoppy gets a splash, giggles and hops back, and the right pad twinkles.

5

Reach the lotus flower to finish a run. A few runs clear a stage, move Hoppy to a new pond and win a new hat.

TipSay each number out loud as Hoppy lands, like a song: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10! The strip at the top shows the numbers already counted and the lotus number you are hopping to. The easiest mix-up is counting in ones, so check the pad is a whole hop away. On the dot cards, every column is one hop, so the right pad has only full columns. Getting it right the first time earns more stars.

Skip Counting is a hopping number game with Hoppy the frog. Hoppy sits on a lily pad with a number, and your child taps the pad with the next number to make him jump. First we count in 2s from 0 up to 10, with just two pads to pick from and little cards of dots under the pads, so children who are still learning their numbers can count the pairs. Then come 5s, 10s and 3s, and later runs that start part way along. A wobbly wrong pad just sinks with a splash, and Hoppy giggles in the water and hops back to try again. Every run ends on a lotus flower that blooms. Clear a stage to visit a new pond and win a new hat for Hoppy.
