Privacy Policy
No accounts, no pop-ups, no tracking of children. One cookie for site statistics that you can decline. The whole policy is short on purpose.
Who we are
Tiny Players is a website of browser games for children. You can reach us at hello@tinyplayers.games.
What we collect
You can play every game without creating an account or giving us any personal information. We do not ask for your name, email or address to play.
- Game data on your device. High scores, favourites and your cookie choice are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device and you can clear them at any time through your browser settings.
- Analytics. If you accept cookies, we use Google Analytics to understand which games are popular and how the site is used. IP addresses are anonymised. We do not use this data to identify you.
- Anonymous game statistics. When a game is played, we add one to simple totals for that game and that day: games started, levels cleared and how far a game got, time played, whether the game was played on this device before, the kind of device (phone, tablet or computer), whether the game hit an error, and the country, worked out from the device's time zone (no address is used). Once a day we also add one to the day's visitors, note whether this device has visited before (that date stays on your device), and note the name of the website the visit came from, such as a search engine (only its name, never the page or what was searched). While one of our pages is open and on screen, it checks in every two minutes with only the country (from the time zone) and the kind of page (for a game page, which game), so we can see how many people are on the site right now; a page in the background sends nothing. On our pages (never inside a game) we also count where on the page taps land, which card or button was tapped, and how far down the page a visit scrolled, so we can see which parts of a page are useful; only the spot and the count are kept, with no recording of the visit and nothing about who tapped. We also count how often each of our pages is viewed, and look at what is searched for in our search box, so we can add the games children are looking for. We never ask for a name or an account, and we use no cookies and no IP addresses. It only tells us which games children enjoy, so we can make them better.
- Problem reports. When a grown-up uses "Something wrong?" under a game, we keep the game, the reason, the level, the device type, whether the game hit an error and an optional note (with contact details removed automatically) for 90 days, to fix games.
- Likes. When someone taps like or dislike on a game, we add it to that game's totals. So each device counts once, the vote is kept with a random number your browser makes; it isn't linked to a person, and nothing else is stored.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard technical logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, kept for a limited period for security and performance purposes.
Cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies. If you decline, no analytics scripts are loaded; the site still works fully. You can change your choice by clearing the site's data in your browser.
Children
Many of our games are suitable for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your country). If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or to object to its processing. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
