Sliding Puzzle is the classic picture puzzle with one empty gap. A cute animal friend, a wombat, quokka, platypus, koala or galah, is split into pieces and mixed up. Slide the pieces into the gap until the picture is whole again, and the friend blinks, waves and cheers. The first puzzles have only three pieces and need a tap or two, then the pictures grow to six and nine pieces and mix up a little more each stage, so older children still have to plan ahead. There is no timer and no losing. If a child pauses, a soft golden glow shows the next good piece. Every stage cleared wins a new frame for the puzzle, and the places change from a sunny park to a beach, snowy hills, candy land and a starry night.
