How to play
Tap a grass tile to uncover it. Your first tap is always safe.
A number shows how many sleepy hedgehogs are in the tiles touching it.
Tap the flag button (or right-click) to plant a flag where you think a hedgehog is sleeping.
Uncover every tile without a hedgehog to clear the board and see them all wave.
Clear a stage to win a new nightcap and travel to a new place. Waking a hedgehog costs a heart from stage 2.
Minesweeper is the classic number puzzle with a gentle twist: instead of mines, sleepy hedgehogs in nightcaps are curled up under the grass tiles. Tap a tile to uncover it. A number tells you how many hedgehogs are sleeping in the tiles touching it, so you can work out where they are like a little detective. The very first tap is always safe and opens up a patch of garden, and every board can be solved with the numbers alone, so there is never a need to guess. If you do tap a hedgehog, nothing scary happens: it gives a big yawn and goes back to sleep. The boards start tiny (5 by 5 with just 3 hedgehogs), and in the first stage waking one costs nothing at all; from stage two it costs one of your three hearts, and every cleared board gives a heart back. Each stage is a few boards in one place. Clear them and the stage is clear: stars, confetti and a new nightcap for the hedgehogs, then you travel on from the garden to the beach, a snowy hill, candy land and a night garden with fireflies, and the boards grow a little each time. Every stage you clear wins the next nightcap, from pink to rainbow. Small numbers show dots underneath on the tiny boards, so children who are still learning numbers can count them. Scores are kept on your own device. It works with touch, a mouse or the keyboard.
