Choo-Choo Train is a gentle train driving game for young children, with Elephant the conductor in his blue cap. Seen from the side, a smiling toy steam engine pulls its carriages along the rails while puffs of steam float up from the chimney. Hold your finger anywhere on the screen (or hold Space or the right arrow key) to drive, and let go to slow down. The train never crashes: it stops by itself at every station, and if you let go a little early it creeps in on its own. At each station a sign shows who is waiting and how many, like two piggies or three bunnies. Tap them and they hop into the carriage windows, then ride along to the next stop, where they hop off with a happy heart. Stars along the line are collected as the train goes by. Ten stages each bring one new thing: a short first line, a longer line, picking the right animal, a tunnel, counting carefully when more animals are waiting than the sign asks for, a level crossing where the train waits for the green light, the points where you choose the track to the right coloured station, presents to deliver in the snow, a snowy line and a starry night finale. The line travels from a sunny meadow to the seaside, a sunset farm, snowy hills and a twinkly snow village. Every stage wins a new carriage, from sky blue and stripes to rainbow, candy stripes and gold, and you can put any of them on your train. It's a calm game for ages three to seven that practises counting, colours, matching and patience, and older children can race to collect every star.
