Don't slice the grumpy bomb. It costs a heart.
Every 20 fruit clears a stage and wins a new blade colour. Pick it with the Blades button after a round.
Fruit Slicer is the swipe-and-slice arcade game, rebuilt as a bright bush picnic. Melons, pineapples, kiwis and strawberries fly up over a checked tablecloth; swipe through them and they split in two, juice sprays and a splat lands on the cloth. Slice two or more in one swipe for a combo, and leave the grumpy bomb alone. It needs no reading, so it suits children from about four: the very first melon hangs in slow motion until they slice it, and the early levels throw one slow fruit at a time. Every 20 fruit clears a stage: play stops for a quick cheer, a new blade colour is won, from Bubblegum to Rainbow and Gold stars, and the picnic moves on from the bush to the beach, the outback, the rainforest and a moonlit night. The fruit comes a little faster with each stage, so older children can chase combos. A round lasts until five fruit are dropped, usually a few minutes. It is best on a tablet, but a mouse or the arrow keys work too.
