Koala Run is a runner game starring a cute koala, with 10 levels to finish. The koala runs on its own: tap to hop over logs, boulders and spiky echidnas, tap again in the air for a double jump with a flip, and swipe down to belly-slide under anything that hangs or swoops. Every level is a new place with one new thing to meet: crabs at the seaside, rolling snowballs in the snowy mountains, wobbly jelly in candy land, magpies under the stars, vines in the rainforest, hay bales on the farm, rolling apples in the autumn forest and washing lines in the city park, then a big finale in rainbow valley. Gum leaves are dotted along the track, golden ones are worth five, and bubbles hold power-ups: a magnet that pulls the leaves in, spring shoes for giant jumps and a gum-leaf glider that floats over everything. Finish a level for a celebration and a new hat, then a Leaf Rush bonus round where nothing can bump you. Collect enough leaves and a friend comes to run with you: a wombat, a quokka, an emu or a red panda. Three hearts give second chances, and if they run out you can carry on from the same level. The first run slows right down and shows younger players exactly when to tap. It suits ages four to ten: little ones enjoy the jumping, older players chase all ten levels and every hat. Our tip: jump a moment early, because the koala floats at the top of each jump.
