How to play

1

Put your finger (or the mouse) on the green dot with the number 1.

2

Follow the dotted line and the arrows to trace the shape. Watch it come alive!

3

If a shape has two lines, like the plus, start again at the next green number.

4

Playing on a keyboard? Hold Space or an arrow key and the magic pen traces for you.

5

Trace all the shapes at the top of the easel to clear a stage, visit a new place and win a new hat for Platypus.

TipGo slowly and keep your finger on the white path: the arrows show which way to go. If you get stuck, wait a moment and a glowing star shows the way. A shape traced without going off the path earns a bonus star. Every stage you clear wins a new hat, like the Party hat or the Flower crown, to pick after the game.

Trace Shapes is a first tracing game for little hands, with a friendly platypus beside a painting easel. Put your finger on the green numbered dot and follow the dotted line and the little arrows, and the shape is painted in bright colour. Then the magic happens: every finished shape comes alive. A line grows into a flower, a wave fills with sea and a fish jumps out, a circle becomes a smiling sun, a triangle becomes the sail of a boat and a heart floats away as a balloon. Children start with straight lines, then corners and zigzags, waves and loops, and finally circles, squares, triangles, stars and hearts. The path is wide and forgiving, and going off the line costs nothing. Every stage visits a new place and wins a new hat for Platypus.
