About this sheet
Six rows of cute Halloween things are waiting to be counted on this worksheet: pumpkins, ghosts, bats, wrapped sweets, owls and stars. Children count the pictures in each row and write the number in the box at the end. Every row has between 2 and 7 pictures, so it suits children aged 4–6 who are learning to count and to write their numbers. Encourage them to touch each picture as they count it, or to color each one in so none get counted twice. Ask which row has the most and which has the fewest. The answers are 4, 6, 3, 7, 2 and 5. Print on plain A4 and work in pencil. For more counting on screen, play Count the Fish, where children count the fish in the sea.
