About this sheet
Six short Halloween words are ready to trace on this worksheet: boo, bat, cat, owl, moon and star. Each word sits on handwriting lines with a top line, a dashed middle line and a baseline, and a cute picture beside it shows what the word means. Children trace each word twice in pencil, following the light grey letters. The big capital letters suit children aged 4–6 who are learning to hold a pencil and form their letters. Encourage them to start each letter at the top and to say the sounds as they trace, b, a, t, bat. Once the tracing is done, the pictures can be colored. Print on plain A4 and use a pencil or a crayon. Then hear the letter sounds in Phonics Match.
