About these games
Our picks and what they practise

Nearly every game here is one control — tap to jump — which is why they suit the whole age range. Dinosaur Game is the endless runner: jump the cacti and duck the pterodactyls until you slip. Flying Galah is hold-and-release timing. Koala Platformer is the big one: eight levels of run, jump and bounce, the closest thing on the site to a console platformer.
One is maths in a jump costume: Skip Counting hops a frog along lily pads by counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. Short, and in the browser.
Our picks
Flying Galah — tap to flap the galah between the gum trees — one touch, endless goes
Dinosaur Game — jump the cacti, duck the pterodactyls, collect the eggs
Koala Platformer — run, jump and bounce across eight star-filled levels
What they practise
- Timing a single tap — the core skill under all of these
- Persistence: short rounds, quick restarts, beating your own score
- Steering through a level in the platformer
- Skip counting and the number line, with a frog and a kangaroo
