About this sheet

An astronaut waves at the start, and the moon waits at the finish. In between is a maze shaped like a big rocket, with stars and a porthole to color when the path is found. Children aged 5โ€“9 trace the way through with a finger first, then draw the path in pencil. Mazes build planning, patience and pencil control, and children learn to look ahead and back out of a dead end calmly. If your child gets stuck, try solving it backwards from the moon. Older children can time themselves, or draw their own maze on the back. Print on plain A4. For more mazes on screen, our Maze Runner game has Joey the baby kangaroo finding friends at the end of each maze.
