How to play
Draw an arrow from the food to the animal that eats it (drag, or tap the two cards).
Build chains from the sun, find the missing card, or sort animals into plant eaters, meat eaters and both.
A wrong arrow wobbles and a clue explains why: try again.
Finish a habitat to win a new arrow colour.
Food Chain is a nature game where Platypus shows how energy passes from the sun to plants and animals. Every living thing is a friendly picture card, and an arrow means "is food for": drag from the food to the one who eats it, or tap the two cards. In the meadow you link grass to a rabbit or acorns to a squirrel; at the pond there are three cards to choose from; in the ocean you build whole chains starting from the sun; on the savanna you find the missing link; and in the forest you sort plant eaters, meat eaters and animals that eat both, then join up a food web with the worms and mushrooms that make new soil. A wrong arrow just wobbles, and a friendly voice says why ("Owls eat animals!"), so children who can't read yet can play. Every habitat wins a new arrow colour. It suits ages four to ten. Our tip: every chain starts with the sun, then a plant.
