About these games

What they practise and where to go next

Memory games are the ones grandparents recognise, and children beat them at. Memory Match is the first — find the pairs — and Flag Quiz adds something to learn: match each flag, then remember it. Copy Me is about holding a sequence in your head; Spot the Difference is about watching carefully.

A few are memory in a different shape: Pizza Maker asks you to remember an order. Memory Match and Copy Me are quick enough for two to take turns and compare scores.

What they practise

  • Visual memory — where things are
  • Sequence memory — what came in what order
  • Attention and careful looking
  • Memory as a way to learn facts: flags, times tables, sight words
