About these Diwali worksheets

These free Diwali worksheets mix a little learning with the fun of the festival, for children aged 4 to 10: a word search with pictures, an elephant maze, counting to 7, picture addition within 10, a what-comes-next pattern sheet, an I spy counting page, picture bingo for a class party and a quiz with the answers on the page. There are writing pages too: 10 lines on Diwali in English, 10 lines in Hindi and a page of ruled lines for children to write their own. Every picture is friendly and simple, so the sheets suit nursery, kindergarten and class 1 to 4, at home or in the classroom. Each sheet prints in black and white on plain A4 paper. Questions parents ask

3 quick answers

Which Diwali worksheet suits my child's age?

For ages 4 to 6, try counting, patterns and I spy. For ages 5 to 8, try the addition sheet, word search and maze. The quiz and the 10 lines pages suit ages 6 and up.

Are the answers included?

The quiz has its answers printed upside down at the foot of the page. The other sheets can be checked by counting the pictures together.

Can teachers use these in class?

Yes. Print as many copies as you need for your class. Bingo makes a good Diwali party game, and the word search and maze make easy quiet activities.
