How to play

1

Look at the paint blob on the card: that is the colour to make.

2

Tap two paint pots to pour them into the bowl. On a keyboard, press 1–5.

3

Watch the paints swirl into a new colour.

4

Not quite? The recipe shows and the right pots glow. Try again!

5

Make six colours to visit a new place and win a new stirrer.

TipRed, yellow and blue are the painter's primary colours: you can't mix them from other paints, but they make almost everything else. Red and yellow make orange, yellow and blue make green, red and blue make purple, and all three make brown. White makes a colour lighter and black makes it darker. Try it with real paint afterwards!

Colour Mixing is a paint lab for young artists. The card shows a colour to make, like green. Tap two smiling paint pots and each one hops up and pours into the big bowl, then the paints swirl together into the new colour. Get it right and a little paint-drop friend jumps out and Panda cheers. If the mix is not quite right, Panda says 'Ooh, purple!', the paint drains away, and the recipe and the right pots light up, so nothing is ever lost. First come red, yellow and blue with the recipe shown. Then white makes colours lighter, black makes them darker, and three-paint mixes make brown and light green. Every six colours clears a stage, visits a new place and wins a new stirrer.
