How to play

1

Tap a square to put down your turkey.

2

Take turns with the pumpkin pies.

3

Get three in a row, across, down or corner to corner.

4

Win or draw a game to clear the stage and win a new friend.

TipThe middle square is the strongest start. If the pies have two in a row, block the third square before you do anything else.

Thanksgiving Tic-Tac-Toe is the classic three-in-a-row game with friendly turkeys against pumpkin pies, played on cozy quilts in autumn places under a smiling afternoon sun. Children can play the gentle panda, who starts very easy so first-time players win and learns a little more with each stage, or play a friend or grown-up on the same screen. Every stage cleared wins a new Thanksgiving friend to play as, like the squirrel, the acorn, an ear of corn, an apple or a sunflower. The places change as you go, from an autumn picnic to a pumpkin patch, an apple orchard, a harvest farm with a red barn and a leafy park. It is a quick, calm game that builds early planning skills: spotting a line, blocking the other side and thinking one move ahead. Rounds are short, so it fits nicely into a few spare minutes while the pie bakes.
